NETBALL PATHWAYS

Netball pathways refers to the recognised route and stages netball players, coaches and umpires typically follows on their journey to higher levels of netball. These includes Association Championships, State titles, through to state and international teams. In Victoria, the athlete netball pathway looks like this:

Netball Associations across Victoria are grouped into 22 REGIONS which are then grouped into 6 ZONES. Ariels VCNA is grouped into the Central East Zone of Chisolm.

Each year in March these regions compete against each other in a weekend carnival called the State Titles. Ariels VCNA players are eligible and encouraged to trial for these squads.

Another step along the pathway for Talent Identification is Association Championships. Ariels VCNA enters teams in each eligible age group across U13, U15, U17 & Opens. Ariels teams compete in the Central East Association Championship tournaments.
