FAST5 TOURNAMENT

Welcome to the official opening of the Fairlea Reserve Netball Complex. To celebrate Ariels VCNA is hosting a Fast5’s netball tournament. Fast games, rolling subs, supershots, power plays, 5 players on court. Gather your friends and enter a team. Anyone can play, all ages, all genders, any ability.

• Date: Sunday July 14th
• Time: Team Registration @ 12.30, games start at 1pm
• Location: Fairlea Reserve Netball Complex, Cnr Fairlea & Yarra Bend Roads, Fairfield VIC 3078
• Umpires provided.
• BYO Bibs & Scorer

All Netball Victoria rules apply, with the following modifications:

• Fast-Paced: 14-minute games (7 min halves).
• 5 Player on court: GS, GA, C, GD, & GK. Teams can take the court with 4 players (one being C).
• Scoring: Only GS & GA can score goals, and:
  • One point is scored if the goal has been shot within the goal circle.
  • Two points are scored if the goal has been shot outside of the goal circle.
• Power Play: Home team first half score double points, away team second half score double points!
• Players: can only represent one team.
• Rolling Subs: Subs may be made at any time during play and there is no limit to the number of substitutions made. The substitute player coming onto the court must not step onto the court until the player coming off is outside the lines of the court.
• Team composition: 4 females/1 male OR 3 females/2 males OR 2 females/3 males OR 5 females.
  Male players must be spread over the court so that there is no more than one male shooting (GA or GS), one male defending (GD or GK) and one male playing in the centre court (C)
• Uniforms: Must be cohesive. For example: similar black coloured skirts, shorts, leggings (no pockets), and similar coloured shirts – shirts can be different shades, as long as they are similar.

U13s, U15s, U17s, Open. Teams can consist of all girls, but they will potentially play against mixed teams. Refer to the team composition rules above.

• Player Senior Netball Victoria Membership (Born on or before 31/12/2006): $86.
• Player Junior Netball Victoria Membership (Born between 01/01/2007 – 31/12/2017): $66.
• All Abilities Netball Victoria Membership (Persons who have an intellectual disability or physical impairment):$66.
