CLUB COMPETITION

In February 2025 Ariels VCNA will expand our competition programs to offer clubs and teams the opportunity to enter traditional Saturday morning junior girls, boys and mixed competitions at Fairlea Reserve, Fairfield. Based on expressions of interest, All-Abilities and Open competitions are likely to commence later in 2025 or 2026.

With many surrounding competitions almost at capacity, Ariels VCNA will provide opportunities for participation for people in the in the local community and surrounding areas. Ariels is committed to providing a welcoming environment where all participants feel empowered to engage in physical activity in a fun and inclusive environment, and caters for all levels of competition.

Clubs, Schools, and Independent Teams are encouraged to join. Contact [email protected] for club affiliate information. To support clubs, schools and teams, Ariels VCNA will be publishing a range of documentation to support you in making your transition into our association seamless.

Ariels will hold monthly open forums for interested Clubs, Schools and Independent teams in August, September, October and November 2024. Our first open forum is scheduled from Friday August 9th at 6pm. Dates and times for remaining sessions will determined after the first meeting.

Ariels VCNA has a rich heritage in Representative Netball, dedicated to cultivating athletes, coaches, and umpires through specialised training and comprehensive development programs. Our supportive environment empowers individuals to achieve their full potential and creates pathways for their netball journey.

Players in the 2025 Ariels VCNA Fairlea Reserve Competition are encouraged to trial for Ariels 2025 Representative teams. In the lead up to trials, Ariels is running a number of Pre-Trial events at Fairlea Reserve including:

• Ariels 11&U Netball Academy – August 2nd to September 13th
• Ariels Rep Pre-Selection Clinic – 11&U, 13&U, 15&U, 17&U – October 13th. Registration details and clinic times TBA.

Representative Trials are scheduled for October 20th and October 27th at HE Parker in Heathmont. Training locations for 2025 Representative teams will be based on team composition. It is expected that all representative teams will play at Waverley Netball Centre in 2025.

Teams for 2025 will be set closer to trial dates. In 2024 Ariels VCNA currently has the following representative teams:

• 11&U – 2 teams
• 13&U – 3 teams
• 15&U – 4 teams
• 17&U – 3 teams
• 19&U – 1 team
• Open – 2 teams
